Advisory workshop for members of the Commission for State Aid Control held

 

The project Support to the Commission for State Aid Control has organised an Advisory Workshop for Commission employees on 11 June 2021. Several topics were discussed during a meeting, including the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on competition policy in the European Union.

The meeting’s agenda encompassed following topics: Assessment of the impact of state aid in the Covid-19 pandemic on EU competition and economy, State aid and national interest, Judicial review of decisions of the Commission for State Aid Control, Functionalities of the State Aid Register that is under development. Commission members and project team representatives also analysed the project results and considered updating the project plans. The workshop was held in Divčibare, with the respect of epidemiological measures during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Commission for State Aid Control is the first and direct beneficiary of the project.

The project Support to the Commission for State Aid Control is funded by the European Union from pre-accession (IPA 2014) funds, with a budget of EUR 999,000. The project has started in February 2019, with an initial duration of 24 months, but it has been extended and will last until September 2021. The project is managed by the Ministry of Finance – Department for Contracting and Financing of European Union Funded Programmes.
